Wow. Did you take this with a flash out of a hotel window? It is very stark and clear image. Well done.

@Helen: No flash. The contrast between the tree and background caught my eye. So I pulled the car over to the side of the road and poped my camera out the window to click the shot. I further increase the contrast in pp.

nice contrast. My only problem is I think the telephone pole negatively impacts the shots simplicity. Cheers!

wonderful image.. and the telephone pole, though hindering the purity of the tree does add a hint of man's influence on nature.

I do love the stark beauty of the image... but I also find the telephone pole distracting... although ginger's observation is spot on as well.
