@William: Looks like they are found in Mexico, Canada, and the US west of the Mississippi river. See Wikipedia's description.

I had to look at this image twice to realize what was going on! Like what you've done with this image (great title). William, in Canada we usually refer to Prairie Dogs as Gophers.
