I believe this was shot in 1999 or 2000 with my first digital camera, a Sony Mavica.

Great shot. I think that it's funny that only through the more personal photos you can see in what phase of their life people are living. It will be years from now that I (hopefully) can show a grand child.

BTW, we call that beach "Mortuary Beach" because of all the drownings. The rip tides at Monastary Beach are fearsome.

Ah, the ol' Mavica. I started out with one of those as well! I just loved being able to use a floppy disc and put the pics straight on to the PC ... it was too easy. Isn't it interesing that our 'vintage' is not necessarily portrayed through our photographs and our comments? Grandchildren are such wonderful additions to your life. It is lovely you are able to share your Granddaughter's youth and curiosity, she will grow up too fast!

@amy: Actually, I've done a little recalculating. This shot had to be from summer of 2002. She was 5 at the time an she is 10 now. Still has a heart of gold!!!
