SurvivalPosted by Craig (Vacaville, California, United States) on 9 May 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. This was largely an experiment with the text and changing it into a "smart object" I created the creature in the foreground with the liquify filter and applied a glass filter to the background.

Great work Craig, i got to learn from you how you do that. :) 9 May 2007 9:37am @Rahul: The text was done by changing it into a "smart object" once you've done this you can change the text to anything you want. I learned how to do it on Photoshop TV (www.photoshoptv.com). The creature in the foreground was done by applying the liquify filter to an old flower image. The background was done by applying a glass filter to the origional flower image. Ask more questions if I'm not clear here!!! Happy processing! And thanks for all your comments!!! :0) Rahul from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaThanks Brother for taking time to enlighten me. I will try that and also check that website. :) Really appreciate this. 9 May 2007 10:09am Angry Buddha from United StatesPhotoshop tv has tons of great nuggets that you never would have thought of to use. They also have tons of stuff that is way over my head. That being said, I still get a lot of great information from their broadcasts. Nice work on this shot. 9 May 2007 12:44pm Celialee from Kyoto, JapanIt is amazing to see how creative you are. But can I ask what creature is it suppose to be? 9 May 2007 1:55pm @Celialee: It is just an abstract. No relevance to anything real. Just got to use your imagination. Thanks for all your comments Celialee!!! Beckie from New Hope, United StatesWOW! You are very imaginative and so talented. Such a BEAUTIFUL picture. Excellent. 9 May 2007 2:04pm Kairospix from Singaporehmm.. it looks a little like a red spider trying to survive! wait a minute...could it be spiderman transformed!?! :) great PS skills there! 9 May 2007 2:07pm amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaI'm really liking your experiments, Craig!! I'm on dial-up at home so I don't think the photoshop tv is very viable for me... ;-) 9 May 2007 4:47pm Stunner from Kingston, JamaicaAmazing work, looks like work from a professional graphic artist! 10 May 2007 3:29am Dawn Sutherland from Phoenix, United StatesI have got to get that program, I have seen some very creative work being done with it!! Very cool! How long did it take to create this shot? 10 May 2007 3:51pm @Dawn Sutherland: I probably spent about 1.5 hours on it. But now that I know what I'm doing, I could probably recreate it in 20 minutes. Appreciate all your comments Dawn! |
