Peter Martin Jorgensen from Aalborg, DenmarkAt first I thought is was a flag overlay but it must be old paint. Nice capture. 9 Jun 2007 8:19am Jen from Jessup, United StatesIs this an overlay of a flag or an actual faded painting on the tree? 9 Jun 2007 12:22pm @Jen: Yes, it is an overlay. Thanks for your comments Jen! Angry Buddha from Phoenixville, United StatesCool flag. I love the textures and detail. 9 Jun 2007 12:56pm Images by KC Photography from Redmond, United StatesI love this, it's a beautiful shot 9 Jun 2007 4:17pm HorseRotorVator from Newton, United StatesThis is really interesting! Or US mirage?..Nice shot! 9 Jun 2007 10:27pm Helen from Melbourne, AustraliaGreat shot! I, like everyone else, am curious about this photo. If you overlayed - how? - if you didn't - wow. Considering this photo follows your series on political/social correctness in suburban America, is this a comment about patriotism fading in USA? 9 Jun 2007 11:00pm @Helen: Used a couple of different layers, blend modes, a mask, opacities and a levels adjustment layer to combine the two images. Sounds complicated but it's really easy once you get the hang of it. It is a comment about Patriotism. But, I hate to comment further as it will spoil the adventure. If I have to add a paragraph telling the viewer how to interpret the photo then the photo has completely missed it's mark. At least that is my thinking. Thanks for your visit Helen. I always enjoy your feedback! Love your work too! Teng Tan from AustraliaInteresting combination of texture with subtle colour overlay. 9 Jun 2007 11:26pm ##AMIT## from Santa Clara, CA, United StatesInteresting...texture of american flag...well done 10 Jun 2007 1:42am Martine Lapointe from Québec, CanadaThe american patriotist is everywhere!
