I walk this trail nearly every morning with my dogs. It is my favorite place to photograph nature simply because it is so close to home (maybe 500 feet). The thing that amazes me is that this beautiful trail is surrounded by literally thousands of homes. Yet, I meet few people on my morning walk. There is an occasional jogger and the occasional dog walker; but, many times I will see no one. This trail is virtually the single best thing about living in Vacaville!

What a beautiful photograph, truly fantastic range and colour. Its the same everywhere with trails, you can find solitude in the middle of cities. Its funny, but sometimes people are just not aware of the wild places around them.
