They really are beautiful birds. I sometimes see a species called 'Little Egret' near to where I moor my boat here in England, but they are impossible to get close enough to to get a shot, so hats off to you once again for getting so close to these creatures.

@Richard_Irwin: Thanks Richard. I wish I could tell you that it was my stealth talent that got me these shots. But, I have to admit that I couldn't have done it without a 1.7 times tele converter. In 35 mm terms, this gave me a 790 mm lens. So you see, it really wasn't that hard to get so close. :0)

Good one! The old, decaying vegetation is a perfect background for this majestic bird. When you observe them they look so slow and deliberate, but they are deadly stalkers to their prey.

great capture! the bird popped out of those background...
btw, in one of the buildings in downtown SF, when I took those pictures... does the window pane glare. Thanks for the visits.
