Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanWe call them "susuki" in Japanese and I'm crazy about them! They provide such scenic shots and they constantly chamge shape and colours! Now they are very cottony and start spreading around!I love the shot, great tonality in the grasses! 10 Jan 2008 9:18am Betty from New Jersey, United StatesLove the light on the grass! Very nice shot! Looks like they would sway in the slightest breeze, and you caught them at just the right moment! 10 Jan 2008 10:55am Betsy Barron : www.thebetsy.com from Glenmoore, United Statesbeautiful Craiger... simple and stunning 10 Jan 2008 12:48pm Jen from Alpharetta, United StatesI really love the tones and contrast in the leaves...beautiful shot Craig! 10 Jan 2008 1:47pm Ina from Krugersdorp, South AfricaJust beautiful! Love the colors, shades and overal feel. Great work! 10 Jan 2008 2:46pm amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaLove how you framed this. Not to mention the motion in this image. Love it Craig! Just a quick boo whilst I'm alone in the office... that way I don't get the snoopy ones checking up on me. Still no computer but hopefully by next week I'll have one... sigh.. Thank you so much for your Merry Christmas and Happy New Year e-mail. Belated wishes for you and yours as well. ;-) 10 Jan 2008 3:24pm pedro alexandre from loures, Portugalnice pp, a litle more contrast and saturation would be more to my liking. 10 Jan 2008 4:33pm @pedro alexandre: I'm just guessing that you are viewing the image using a CRT monitor. The image was edited on an LCD screen and appears much better in terms of saturation and contrast using that medium. I try to get the best of both worlds but often fail on the CRT. :0( Chris from South Jersey, United Statesvery nice - I tried some of the same last week but got the exposure wrong. You captured the textures great. I guess I need to try some more! 10 Jan 2008 4:44pm @Chris: That is funny! You know I went to this place three times trying to capture it correctly. The first time I shot it hand held. The second time I used a mono pod. The third time I got smart and used a tripod! Thanks for all your comments Chris! James from CanadaNice crisp shot...you can almost feel the texture of the reeds! 10 Jan 2008 8:31pm Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomI love the sense of movement in the flowing grass. 10 Jan 2008 10:31pm Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomWow. Badala has said it already, and I agree. The soft feathery textures and subtle tones really make this image, imho. Truly sublime work. 11 Jan 2008 3:45am |
