pedro alexandre from loures, Portugalnice night shot, wonderfull tones, i like that moon. 15 Jan 2008 10:08am martie from JapanAnother great image! It's hard to tell which I like the most -- the sky or the moon! 15 Jan 2008 10:43am Nishana from Calicut, Indiaagain, nice shot. bt my favourite is yesterday's image :) thank you for explainin how u did it.. 15 Jan 2008 11:21am Wolfgang Prigge from CanadaI agree with Nishana, this one is good but yesterday's was the best... 15 Jan 2008 12:37pm MJ from Delaware, United StatesI agree this is great but yesterday was fabulous 15 Jan 2008 12:51pm Chris from South Jersey, United StatesGreat image - I will be asking you for "lessons" on how you did it. One problem with the image may be the part of the moon that is lit up - if the sun is over the horizon shouldn't the bottom part of the moon be illuminated (and not the top)? Sorry to pick on a beautiful image - the scientist in me..... 15 Jan 2008 1:45pm @Chris: It probably would have been more appealing to you if I would have titled it, "Binary Star Activity." So as to appeal to the scientist in you. :0) Then everything would have made sense. amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaWonderful pp, Craig!! Love it! But I do have to agree with the above that yesterday's was better... and I do have to admit I didn't know yesterday's was a comp!! You're a sneaky one!! LOL 15 Jan 2008 4:20pm Oswegan from Lake Oswego, United StatesThis is a great capture Craiger. So the stats on the sony say 6mm, that must be some type of fixed lens? Anyway, it takes nice time exposures. Congrats. 15 Jan 2008 4:24pm @Oswegan: The sky and cloud image was taken with my Sony H5 last summer. It has a 12 x fixed zoom lens that goes from 6 mm to 78mm. In 35mm terms, the 6 mm translates to about 35mm (wide angle). The shot of the moon was taken with my new Sony H9 which has a 15 X fixed zoom lens. But, I added a 1.7 X tele-converter to it giving me an effective 790mm lens (in 35mm terms). Thanks for all your comments Oswegan!!! MontereyJohn from Salinas, California, United StatesAlright, cut that out! You are making me feel totally imept :) Really good image. 15 Jan 2008 4:42pm Laurie from Lincoln, United StatesGreat moon images! Lotsa detail...they just look so magical!
