Spring?Posted by Craig (Vacaville, California, United States) on 12 February 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Barb and I continued our hunt for the beaver family last weekend, unsuccessfully. Finding these critters has now become an official obsession with us! We searched for dams, ponds, and downed trees. However, I did find access to a portion of the creek I didn't even know existed. On with the hunt next weekend!

With today's and yesterday's post we can say that this hunt has been very successful... 12 Feb 2008 1:28pm @vu@granby: Well thanks! You know my wife and I have had a marvelous time together hunting for the beavers. I think the key to success is all in putting forth the effort! Jen from Alpharetta, United StatesThe light and framing is just excellent Craig!! 12 Feb 2008 2:28pm vu@granby - Wolfgang Prigge from Granby, QC, CanadaP.S.: Effort is important if you want to see beavers, but timing also. It has to be almost dark and very quiet. If you bring your dogs along your chances are very low... 12 Feb 2008 2:43pm Koushiro from Singapore, SingaporeBeautiful.... the DOF is really good here. Wish you can find your beaver friends soon, and if you do, please post many many pictures of them ^^ 12 Feb 2008 2:50pm MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomThe lighting of these pretty spring flowers, is just beautiful. An awesome shot Craig. 12 Feb 2008 3:27pm amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaOut of the park with this one Craig!! That light is incredible!! And you've captured it brilliantly. Love the comp and the dof. You know, when we still had the beaver down by the creek before the flood took them out, I could catch him feeding mid-morning and late afternoon. So I think it's just a matter of finding his lodge first. I'm not sure how easy it is in California but up here ya can't miss the suckers(the lodge that is). They're HUGE. Keep looking, I'm anxious to see them. 12 Feb 2008 4:37pm standley from brou-sur-chantereine, Francethie lighting is absolutlywonderful!
