The message below is from our friend Behrooz of BSurprised in memory of Sir Arthur C Clarke who passed away yesterday:
I would like to dedicate a day, let's say the last day of this month March 31th, to his memory, so I decided to suggest a theme for the day.
** Clarke's Day ** Dare to dream, let your imagination run wild, show us that impossible is merely a word in the dictionary. Take an element from his dreams, or yours, and make a picture. It can simply be a sign with the number 2001 on it or a picture of a UFO, but I'm not suggesting anything. It's up to you, my friend.

Its looks very cool and green in the deep woods, I like the fern shapes and the way the light filters through.

Nicely peaceful spot. Well worth spending some time just "being" in that place.

@Viewfinder: This place is truly enchanted! I wish I would have had more time for the "being"!
G is for Gorgeous, G is for Green, I'm forgetting the colour, thanks for the reminder ;)

Enchanting, magical... after you shared that this was taken at Butano State Park near Pescadero, California, I googled it; your pictures are making me want to hike! That tells a lot about how effective you are as a photographer, considering I am not one to hike... :)

@Photographs by M.E.: Although I've titled this series "Deep in the Redwood Forest" it wasn't much of a hike at all: more like a stroll. This particular spot was only 50 feet from where I parked the car. It was truly enchanting. Being in a spot like this makes me whole again. I just wish I would have had more time to spend there. Thanks for your comments M.E.!
Superb undergrowth shot. Great lighting and atmosphere!
