Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaWow that is Wild, I love it, how does she stand so straight with all that weight? I hope she can run fast, so nobody catches and roasts her ;) 1 Apr 2008 9:46am @Lorraine: She can run fast alright. I chased her and her friends from down on this country road up a hill and onto this farmer's property. This is as close as she would let me get. Thanks for all your comments Lorraine! Betty from United StatesExcellent! Usually they move away pretty quickly, nice capture! 1 Apr 2008 10:12am MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomThat's the way I like my Turkey, running free :) 1 Apr 2008 12:01pm MJ from Delaware, United Statesnicely done.. I know how hard it is to get close to turkeys... but it looks like this one posed for you.... great shot 1 Apr 2008 12:23pm Helen from Last night in Bangkok, ThailandLooks as though he was posing for you! Nice shot. (I saw the title and expected to see a photo of a bottle!) 1 Apr 2008 12:54pm danthro from Suburbia, United Statesgreat shot. i know most of it is feather, but man it looks fat! it looks so content i sort of hope it's not being raised to be eaten. ;) 1 Apr 2008 5:53pm danthro from Suburbia, United Statesthat was a stupid comment i just made -- the title says 'wild'. 1 Apr 2008 5:54pm @danthro: LOL I hate it when I do that. :0) There is a fence behind this bird but it was there not to keep the turkeys in. It was just a part of the farmers property. This turkey lead me on quite a chase. We first found him in the road. By the time I got out of the car he was heading into farmland! When I got this close he stopped and fluffed out his feathers as you see in this shot! Thanks for all your comments danthro! vu@granby - Wolfgang from Granby, Quebec, CanadaGreat capture!
