Beaver Dam

These beavers are beginning to get on my nerves. I'm starting to think that an all night steak-out will be required to capture these little critters! :0) Luckily, my little Sony has night-vision capability....LOL!

They are beavers allright, from the conical gnawings of some of the branches. They are mostly nocturnal animals, so might have no choice. Also do not bring your dogs or your chances are very slim....

A great shot of the dam anyway Craig! Animals and birds can be so frustrating! Knowing how you captured animals in the desert in (Nevada was it - or Arizona?) I am sure you will capture one of these little bxmabrs soon!

nice capture. there's something really cool about seeing these, especially randomly coming across them on a walk. something fascinating about the unexpected feat of engineering i guess. i've never actually seen the 'engineers' in person though, let alone attempted to capture one on camera.
