Like something out of a a sci fi movie, colour rendition and pose are both superb, brilliant. Would I be wrong in saying it has been photoshopped because there is a very slight blur around the mantis where I think it has been cut out

@Peter Miller: Yes, you would be wrong. There was no cutting and pasting done to the image. Of course I did the conversion in Photoshop and a little burning and dodging. Thanks for your inquiry and all your comments Peter!!!

Very out-of-this world. The black and white and the lighting lend a hand in creating the alien feel for this one. It seems as thought the mantis body has been outlined with a pencil, especially around his front claw. Was that due to the lighting, or did you do something special in PP to really define it? Wonderful and unique photo you have here!
