Ana Lúcia from Leiria, PortugalI love the contrast. Excellent background and the Sunflower seems that shines. 20 Sep 2008 7:11am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaIf you look long enough you can find a face in the flower. An excellent image of natural decay. 20 Sep 2008 7:20am Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, FranceIt's an original approach of vegetal world. It's graphic and almost abstract, well done. 20 Sep 2008 7:33am Betty from New Jersey, United StatesThis is a fantastic sunflower series, Craig! Very sharp, you can see each seed! Well done. 20 Sep 2008 9:37am Mandy Provan from Johannesburg, South Africagreat shot - one wouldn't think to normally photograph a dead flower, but you have made it such an interesting subject Craig - well done. 20 Sep 2008 9:49am Betsy Barron from Glenmoore, United StatesI was hoping you would do a series on aging sunflowers as you did last year - these are beautiful..and sad at the same time! 20 Sep 2008 10:46am MaryP from Aberdeenshire, United KingdomVery striking image. Beautifully photographed. 20 Sep 2008 3:44pm Giovanni from Milan, ItalyGreat composition! beautiful contrast and detail. Wonderfully done! 20 Sep 2008 3:57pm Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomSuper colors, and a great abstract creation. 20 Sep 2008 10:02pm danthro from Suburbia, United Stateswow, Awesome color and texture, Craig! like the light too 20 Sep 2008 10:23pm akarui from Kagoshima, JapanThe background color do fit with the sunflower. I would have seen more a square format here. Nice job. 20 Sep 2008 11:05pm @akarui: Hmmm. I think you are right about needing the square formate. I really appreciate honest feedback like that. But, can you tell me if I should break the rectangular formate of the series for one image and then go back to the rectangular format? That is my dilemma. I'm not sure what to do in a case like that. Thank you again for your feedback akarui. Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomI like the almost alien quality here, it creates quite an effect. 20 Sep 2008 11:19pm One from Açores, PortugalIt seems to see the sun from space, with the high flames that stretch skyward. Magnificent image !!! 21 Sep 2008 2:31am Rebel Streetshooter from New York City, United StatesTerrific presentation with the dark background. A National Geographic cover for sure. 21 Sep 2008 3:00am akarui from Kagoshima, JapanHi Craig. I have just seen your comment. On this blog where we post only a picture per day there is no problem to change the format. It might be not the same for an exhibit. 23 Sep 2008 1:10am @akarui: Thank you akarui! |
