California OrangesPosted by Craig (Vacaville, California, United States) on 5 January 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. On my morning stroll, I noticed these growing on the other side of a fence just out of arms reach. But, my camera captured them all!

Feels like summer in the middle of all this cold. 5 Jan 2009 1:56pm Lorraine from Gatineau, Canadaoh wow that looks appetizng, I'd love to be able to reach out and have one...fantastic photo Craig...Are you allowed to take one? 5 Jan 2009 3:33pm @Lorraine: It is legal to take one only if it is hanging over on your side of the fence. However, I believe this law was only meant as a guideline and if you can reach one it's yours! Furthermore, it is amazing how these very oranges have magically defied gravity to fall sideways, disproving Newton's theory altogether, only to land on the public side of the fence! :0) john4jack from Corvallis, United StatesWonderful composition and selective focus. Point being, I think that wherever they grow, orange trees covered with fruit are wonders to behold.
