Egret and MolePosted by Craig (Vacaville, California, United States) on 14 January 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. I watched this guy stalk, capture and swallow a mole that was crawling around in the grass. Poor mole (but that is nature). A much larger image of this reveals the mole quite clearly. This egret was so fixated on his lunch that he let me get far closer than he ordinarily would.
