@vu@granby - Wolfgang: Ah! Thanks for your comment. I know what you are getting at. Of course a tighter crop would yield more detail and would make a better post. However, it would defeat what I am trying to accomplish. I am right in the middle of testing a new camera and lens system. Cropping an image defeats the purpose of all those mega pixels I paid for. Although, having said that, I'm not above cropping an image. You will see one in a couple days from me. Ultimately I'm about printing crystal clear images in a large format (my goal). That is why I didn't crop this one. I really appreciate the comment though as it confirms what I am thinking as well.

@amy: No idea what kind of bird this is. I don't think it is a small hawk though.
