Barb at Aguereberry Point - Death Valley, CA

This photograph was a good learning experience for me. It taught me the importance of color temperature of the work space of the room in which I am editing. When the color temperature was around 5000 K, I could see the shadow detail in Barb's clothing. Higher than that and her clothing went totally black (to my eyes).

@Veronelle: No, just a little overcast that built up in the afternoon. It dissipated by early evening. Death Valley, on average, gets only two inches of rain per year. There have been two recorded years since the 1930's that Death Valley received absolutely no rain! Thanks for your comments Veronelle! :0)

@ordinaryimages: Eliminate all incandescent and natural light. Then put in cool white florescent bulbs and wa-la you have 5000 Kelvin room temp. I have a few Delta shots but not many.

Great perspective (as so many have already said... always the bridesmaid never the bride am I... or a day late and a dollar short... LOL!) with Barb in the frame!! Very interesting about colour temp... but now that I think about it, it does make complete sense.
