This is like another world. It is both beautiful and harsh at the same time. Amazing landscape. I find the colors in Death Valley to be very striking and beautiful but the black and white is effective as well, just in a different way I think black and white brings out the harshness of the place.

Monochrome dramatically changes the feel. It loses some of its dry, barren feeling. I prefer it.

I love what the B&W does for the grasses in the foreground. Really makes them pop! They are a great contrast for the valley and mountains.

This shot is just perfect in black and white. I like how it brings out the detail of the landscape in an almost surreal way. Beautiful!
