California Oranges

Posted by
Craig (Vacaville, California, United States) on 5 January 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

On my morning stroll, I noticed these growing on the other side of a fence just out of arms reach. But, my camera captured them all!

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

oh wow that looks appetizng, I'd love to be able to reach out and have one...fantastic photo Craig...Are you allowed to take one?

5 Jan 2009 3:33pm

@Lorraine: It is legal to take one only if it is hanging over on your side of the fence. However, I believe this law was only meant as a guideline and if you can reach one it's yours! Furthermore, it is amazing how these very oranges have magically defied gravity to fall sideways, disproving Newton's theory altogether, only to land on the public side of the fence! :0)

This time of year I see these quite often, only they are Florida oranges. Point being, I think that wherever they grow, orange trees covered with fruit are wonders to behold. Great capture Craig.
